Steel City RC Speedway was host to the 2019 1/8 World Championships in California, USA.
Travelling with my good friend Steven we arrived to the track for IPD, having raced the Pre Worlds earlier this year I was there only to help the team and keep an eye on track conditions.
It was evident very early on the track would have a unique and not ‘normal’ grip level, witnessing almost all cars traction rolling at some point during practice.
Our team had some optional parts to help combat high grip issues, quickly installing the new parts I was feeling prepared for control practice. During practice...

X20 is the result of utilizing past years design of the Eryx and 4x 1/10 touring car.
The chassis is based on the popular Medius mid motor design, using a light weight and strong 1 piece motor mount concept, without any interference between the front and rear chassis flex while still allowing center flex adjustability. The advantage for this style of design is to allow maximum flex capabilities without impacting the drivetrain, meaning smoother power delivery, more consistency and less chance of stripping spurs.
Serpent strengthens its efforts in the electric F1 class by signing 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 Austrian National Champion Andreas Stiebler to fight for titles in the F1 class. The final round of the BRCA 1/10th IC & GT8 Nationals was held at Brooklands Raceway in Kent last weekend. Despite a poor weather forecast many drivers made the trip with points and final championship places up for grabs. Saturday was wet and rainy all day with only a few drivers venturing on to the track but most preparing wet cars for race day. No rain at driver’s briefing but a damp track made qualifying interesting. Round 1 of 200mm Touring saw Mark Green take TQ with 15 laps, Matthew Cook came in 2nd and Stewart Mcleod in 3rd. In 220mm TQ Devendra Mahatme scored 14 laps with Phil Edwards and...
The 15th annual Novarossi Trophy was held at the iconic Automodellistico 5 Colli track in Gubbio, Italy, host of the 2016 IFMAR 200mm Nitro Touring Worlds. In 1/10th 200mm Nitro Touring it was Manuel Strano with the overall TQ from Daniele Agostinelli in 2nd. After the 30-minute A-main final it was still Manuel Strano (Serpent) on top with Michele Scaglioni (Serpent) coming in 2nd, some two laps down. WRC Racing’s David Loppini would complete the top 3 podium result only 1.2 seconds behind Michele.
Great result for Manual and Michelle!!

The new SRX-2 needed to be slimmer, stylish, tougher, easier to work on, and above all else Faster. With over 85% of the parts being new, all the while, still being able to use most all previous SRX-2 parts, this car is an absolute masterpiece of construction. You can build it to any configuration...

Leading into the 7th (and final) round of the Danish nationals things were looking good in nitro truggy and buggy. In both classes we had the opportunity to claim the titles but things really needed to go our way as the 6th round was cancelled due to bad weather.
Saturday,
Unfortunately we had some bad weather leading up to the race and it was decided at the drivers meeting to cancel E-buggy and nitro truggy because of the conditions, the track was simply too wet to get a good raceday. However the weather looked promising and that would give the track a change to dry up for Sundays nitro...
