Billy Easton took 7th fastest time in heat 3 and also overall in practise.
Re-seeding is done based on 3 fastest consequtive laps, which puts Easton with Serpent Cobra in 5th, as his laptimes are very fast and stabile.

The 1/8 outdoor season has started again, and we had a big opener.
The warm up for the euro's in locorotondo Italy.
I had some mixed feelings going overthere, because I did hear some bad rumors about that part of italy. But I was really surprised when we got there, really nice atmosphere. And very friendly
and helpfull people. I cant wait to go back in june.
For me it was the first race with my new car for this year. The serpent 966. I had just one small test with the car before this race, and actually it felt really good from the first moment.

After a short sleep on sundayevening, we left the hotel at 3 o'clock at night and took the plane and 6.30.. I had one week to pick up some sleep and than we left for the 1st dutch championship at Apeldoorn. Actually I didn't change much on the car on saturday, just tried few mega engines, which worked really fine, and super speed. From now on we have also 7min qualifier. But the first two like John mentioned in his report, were kind of wet. Only the last one was really dry, so we all went for it. After the heat I was kind of suprised, that I Tq'd 6 sec in front of Rick V. So I had a good feeling...

Our season started after a long winter break. Saturday morning at 3.30 o’clock we started to Fiorano / Italy. Angelo from the organisation had over 100 Drivers in 1/8 and 1/10.

1st Dutch National Apeldoorn
After a long cold winter stop, last weekend was the1st Dutch national at the beautiful venue of Apeldoorn were this years 1/8 IC GP is held. Weather forecasts were not all too good but on Saturday we had an almost dry day and I had a chance to do a lot of testing with the “newly-build-but-shaken-down” 966 with R&B power. With temperatures between 10 – 16 degrees the track grip was variable during the day.
I tested the WOS uprights and on the somewhat slippy track this worked better than the original ones. After changing some springs and down stop settings I could...

This weekend I attended round one of the South West Series Championship. This series has become a strong series here in the United States which includes races that stretch all over Texas including Dallas, San Antonio and here in Houston. The Southwest series is home to Texas Biggy which every year is very popular. Round one started here in Houston, at Mike’s Hobby in Porter, which is also hosting the IFMAR World Championship in July.
The weather was perfect with 75 degrees of sunshine which made racing that much better because there was zero chance of rain. On the other hand, it has been pollen...

The Recent RCX show in Southern California held an On Road race in Fairplex Pomona, California on March 20 and 21 hosted by GLARCRC, I was out of the On Road scene for a year and wanted to come back and race, I have a 966 which I bought last year when it 1st came out, I drove it a few times last year and was not happy on how the car handled, so I put it away frustrated, I am kind of a shy person that does not want to ask for help, but when I heard about this race I decided I wanted to be back, that is when I called Sam from Kamikaze Toys and Hobbies and ask him if he can help me with the car, I...

Young and very talented driver Tobias Hepp from Germany, will continue racing Serpent, despite many attractive offers from other brands.
The Serpent 966 is very much to the liking of Tobias and he expects to do very well in the Germans Nats and the European Championship in Italy.
The coop with Michael Salven works really well at races and has enabled Hepp to get faster very quickly. All only possible with the help of his dad-mechanic Rudiger Hepp ofcourse.
Also a number of 1/10 races will be made with Serpent 733 in 2010.
