The weekend had a rainy forecast and unfortunately they weren´t very wrong. On Friday, it wasn´t until the afternoon when the track dried out and all drivers took the opportunity to test their cars. To start with, I used the basic set up, having acceptable results, taking into account that there was going to be very little time for testing. Nevertheless I managed to make subtle set up changes that worked fine and the car was really competitive on dry conditions.

In the final it was Collari 1st, Balestri 2 and in 3rd Serpent driver Andrea Cristiani. So a nice podium finish for Andrea, who closed in on Balestri and come to 1.5 sec gap only in the end. Nice close fight.
With 4 Serpents in the final a good result and could have been even better. Calce, Salven, and van Gastel were also all very fast.
Ilia van Gastel with 966 even set a new track-record during the final with a 14,277 sec lap, on a 300meter track, just imagine.
Neo 2010: Billy Easton confirmed with Serpent Cobra 1/8 (18/03/2010)

Serpent's designer / racer Billy Easton will attend the Neo 2010 race in the UK, early april 2010.
The Serpent Cobra S811 has been tested extensively in the past months and quite a few races have been attended as well.
Last race was the Florida States Series where Easton qualified 2nd and finished 2nd too. Win was within easy reach, but an unlucky tyre choice and an engine-cut prevented this.

The Serpent Team is attending the EC 1/8 warm-up in Italy, Locarotondo, deep in the south.
Thursday Serpent aces Ilia van Gastel and Andrea Cristiany were setting the pace for Serpent.
Fabio Domanin and Massimo Fantini are getting back to speed after a long winter without racing.
Same applies to Mark Green and Serpent designer Michael Salven, looking for the pace, after only doing 1/12 scale racing in winter for practise ! Mark Green by the way was very fast in 1/12 with Serpent S120.
Lots of testing to do with set-up, bodies, tyres, engines etc.

“The spanish racer Víctor Peláez will use the serpent 733 for this season. The two times Spanish champion and 4º in the Euro B of Ampuis will help the spanish distributor Modelcar promoting the new 733. Víctor had the following to say about the deal:
I would like to thank Modelcar / Serpent for the opportunity they have given me to run the new 733. I will do my best to win the Championship title this year. Since the first day of testing the 733, i felt very confident, the car is amazing and I’m really happy with it.”

With Serpent 966 Abisset qualified 2nd and Riccobono 3rd for the 1st National last weekend in Beaumont Monteux.
In the Elite Final Abisset took the win, followed by Serpent Riccobono en young Serpent driver Colinet in 3rd. Serpent CHRISTIANY in 7th as 4th Serpent in the final. Great Show.
In the National class Serpent ace driver Damien THIRION to take TQ honours and a 3rd place on the podium. Well done !
