Victory for Flavio Elias with the Serpent 966 at the 4th Round of São Paulo Championship in São José dos Campos.

Hello Racers,
After taking a few days to relax and enjoy my family, here I am to report about my experiences at the WC.
The trip started at the Miami airport, were I meet DJ. After flying for a little more than nine hours, we finally landed in Zurich. There my Kamikaze friends Nigel and Sam were already waiting for us to start our trip to Lostallo. We got to the track early afternoon, and we could not believe our eyes. The track was huge, so big that a fifth scale will looks like a sedan in one of our big US tracks. The driver stand also was proportional to the track. It was a 3 story building...

The SerpentAmerica team is prepairing to leave for the US Nationals on Toledo, OH, taking place next week.
Its a combined 1/8 and 1//10 meeting, so over 150 drivers competing, of which quite a few in 2 classes.
Paolo Morganti and DJ Apolaro will race 966 / 733 and so will new Team member Vincent Jackson.
We will try to get some reports from the Serpent Snake-pit during next week.

For the Serpent 733, we have developed the Default-set up, which will work well on most common tracks as a good starting point.
Please find it in the Serpent 733 section under files/downloads and the set-up section.
We also uploaded a Blank set-up sheet, to record your own set-up.
Now we are working on the editable set-up sheet. We will announce when ready.

It was a very nice race there and I finished in 35th place in this 2009 World Championship.
We were testing a lot with set-up, bodies, engines and after the qualification I took the 42 place so I was in the 1/8 finale.
I was able to finish 3rd in the 1/8 final and thus bumped up to the 1/4 final, which made me very happy! My Serpent 966 was so great. My dad did a very good job to find this perfect setup. My dad was working together with Matthias Meister in the pitlane! Thanks to them I made such good result as they made such a great job!

Team Serpent is cooperating well at the Swiss track in Lostallo to obtain best results.
Set-up of the Serpent top-drivers is quite equal, so great to share more info and its working !
Salven, Green, Fantini, Morganti and the Sahashi bro's are very fast and happy with the 966 cars and their Power pack.
The Serpent 966 works very well, also on large and very small tyres, as this will be be essential for the finals.
Today the official opening and handing out the new Serpent t-shirts to all drivers.
Lots of images in the event gallery.

All teams have arrived for the 2009 IFMAR World Championships in Lostallo, Swiss.
At the beautifull track in the mountains of Swiss, around 150 racers will battle for the title.
Timing can be followed through this page:

Serpent Team members from all over the World are competing, both young fast guns as well as the well knows top-guns.
Salven, Yuya Sahashi, Fantini and Morganti already found a good pace with low 20 secs laps. With only 4 heats per day per driver, there is limited time for major changes. So team-work will be...

We started our trip to Gubbio on Sunday at 1 p.m.
Jirka Hassler from Serpent Europe, who was kind enough to be my mechanic for the EC, picked me up and we began the 700 km trip.
We finally arrived early Sunday morning and a lot of work was waiting for us already. Italian Serpent driver Giordano Agostinelli had not received his 733 yet and in a team effort, involving the Baumgarten and Gruber families, we managed to get his car build that day.
I was really lucky, that I had received my kit earlier and my Dad was able to build it in the week before the race.

Kyle was in good shape at the UK Nationals in Brighton after his semi-final position with 733 at the EC in Gubbio.
Due to a late delivery of parts for 733 he had to stay with the 720-09, but was fast as ever.
TQ-ing 4 secs ahead of Serpent Team mate Johnathan Dobney.
In the final Kyle went into the grass and had to re-join in 10th and worked his way up the filed to still finish 1st ahead of Team mate Johnathan Dobney.
