Germany-W; TQ for Meister/966-Mega, Hepp wins Championship 966/Mega (15/06/2009)

TQ for Meister with Mega powered Serpent 966 and good 2nd place for Hepp also with his Mega Powered Serpent 966. Hepp also made the fastest lap in qualifying.
5 Serpent 966 in the final and 4 Mega engines.
Great performance.
Qualifying was also the final results, as the weather became so bad, that racing was impossible.
This meant that Meister won the race and Tobias Hepp, the new Serpent talent, is West-German Champion in 1/8 with the Serpent 966 / Mega ZX-21 DSIII.
Tobia will also take part in the EC 1/1/0 with Serpent 733/Mega an the Worlds with Serpent 966/Mega

A weekend of mixed weather saw the round four of the 10th IC nationals gather at Cotswolds model car clubs venue on Kemble airfield the variable weather was very testing on driver skill, set up and preparation with damp in Round 1 to dry runs for qualifying. After round 3 team Dremel were in 1.2.3 in the 235 Class, Glyn Beal did his usual and took pole for round four with Mark, Lee and Richard following
With a wet final Richard took the lead then only to be passed by Lee, who had radio problems, Mark Then took the lead and was chased hard by Richard

Hello Racers,
This past weekend was the first ever Bumod GP International Race held at the world class facility in Bursa Turkey. I was invited to attend this race and though it would be a great experience. Michael Salven, myself and other racers from all over the world were in attendance. This would be my first race out of the country and I was excited to see what it was like.

Toni Gruber was in excellent shape again , after his superb performance at the Euro-B in Cassino Italy.
The weather in Germany was not that nice as in Italy, rain all day. Also in the rain Toni shows his skills and won the race with a 4 lap lead over Ronny Sellin und Torsten Müller . The well prepared Serpent 966 and Mega DS III combo worked fine all the way !

Serpent and Titan Ltd from Taiwan will cooperate on the distribution of Serpent products in Taiwan.
Titan Ltd is a very race oriented company with lots of experience. They are happy and proud to bring Serpent forward again in the Taiwan market.
The 1st stock will land in Taiwan mid june with Serpent 966, in late july followed by the brand-new Serpent 733 kits too and the Serpent 1/8 buggy end of 2009.
Titan Ltd have their own onroad race-track ( see picture), which is planned to be used for future Serpent Cups as well.

Well this past week was held in 301 raceway in Maryland the 2009 Capitol Classic in a week full of emotions, race emotions that is. the practice days went smoothly and i was able to set up my Serpent 966 car up so it was perfect for the qualifying rounds.
From the beginning of the qualifiers i was battling for the TQ with Joaquin De Soto every round until in the last round of qualifying with one turn to go i tangled with a lapped car losing the TQ pace that i was running on and finally qualifying in the second place.

The 2nd round of Belarus National RC Championship took place in Bobruisk last weekend. This time the race was really bright and unforgettable. The
main competitors in semifinals and the final were Vyacheslav Drozd, Kirill Verigo and Sergey Fedanchuk. Changeable weather influenced the results greatly.
While rounds of heats were held, the weather was sunny. Semifinals were held on the wet track.
During the final the track which was completely wet dried out in an hour.
During the race mechanics had to change rain tyres to dry ones, adjust engines and cars. We should admit that all this made...

At the circuit "Hernan Matticoli" of Buenos Aires it was time again for the METROPOLITAN CHAMPIONSHIP 2009 with the debut on the track of the Serpent 966.
With an outstanding performance the driver Juan Ignacio Matticoli,with the Serpent 966,after reaching the 2º place in the qualification, obtained an important victory in the final.
The final was a very fierce battle between Recio in front and followed very closely by Matticoli. When Recio made an error in lap 78, he was out of contention, leaving Matticoli unchallenged to cruise for victory ! Daniel Toso took the 4th place for Serpent,...

Hildesheim – the track of upcoming German nationals in about 4 weeks – was this weekend the place of the 2nd round of German Northern Championship. This race was also last qualification round for the nationals. Saturday started with good weather, so everybody used practice time until rain stopped racing in afternoon. Only a few racers tried to find a wet setup in first heat this day, most drivers were looking forward to Sunday with maybe better weather conditions.
