Round 5 of Danish nationals is in the books.
Saturday was simply amazing, the sun was out, light wind and almost no clouds in the sky. Weather was extremely hot and this caused some people to struggle with engine temps. The technical track in Bjæverskov Denmark demands a lot of power out of the tight corners however tirewear was very good.
After 4 round of qualifying Nikolai was TQ, Jan 2nd and Julie 7. In the final Nikolai claimed an easy victory by 2 laps to teammate Jan that struggled with a rear gearbox failure from about the 25min mark. To complete the day Julie had a solid run...
Having had two practice days before the race, where the car had a very good balance I felt well prepared for the ETS.
From the first practice runs the car felt very good and was fast. So I could focus on getting my driving right. I did not even need to make a single setup change during the race.
Compared to other cars, my F110 SF4 had good steering and was still stable in the rear and I could carry more cornerspeed through the fast turns.
Qualifying went well, after 3 runs, there were 3 different drivers with a TQ run, of these my run was the fastest. So it was already clear that I would...

Round 4 of the BRCA 10th IC series was at the Colchester raceway , the club members had worked very hard to prepare the track including spraying the track for better grip and have everything all clean and well laid out.
The weather was really nice and there was a lot of fun in the pitting area and everyone had a lot of track time to set their cars up.
I decided on Sunday morning that i would race both classes so it was going to be a very busy day but with the help of my pitman Chris and other drivers to help me with the marshalling i was able to get racing.
After 4 rounds off qualifying i was...
Happy Fathers Day Dad! What a great present for you today, TQ and Win at RD 5 of the BRCA 1/8th Championship!
Today is like a reward for all the time you spend working on cars etc!
I qualified 3rd with a win and a 2nd place in qualifying. The first final started well. I had a clean race until about half of the race when I flipped over the curb at the timing loop. Fortunately, I came back on four wheels just at the edge of the asphalt and just in front of Jaques Libar, so I could keep my position but now I had a car derectly behind me. Because of a mistake by Jan Ratheisky, I could take the second spot. But two laps before the end I had a hit from behind, costing me the second spot.
In the he second final I had a bad first lap, but later I could close the gap to the leaders...
EFRA GP RD3!! Another great race from Efra and also the team from Türkheim rc club!
At this race I qualified in a strong 7th place, which I was pretty happy with considering the level of competition.
Anyway the Semi final and it was a bit of messy start. Unfortunately I came off worse from a incident which was completely a racing incident, I was spun out and got hit by every car on the track (so it felt like) I was down in 9th or 10th. I pushed like crazy for quite a while and by the first fuel stop I was back in 4th. Until a very ambitious move from another driver put me into the fence....
On Wednesday evening everything was ready with a new 2 liter run-in Forfast XRD engine, this one just starting and everything was okay.
We arrived early on Thursday. During the first free practice the engine was started, but it refused to start and blocked every time.
After a few attempts we put another engine in the car and drove. The lap times were better than expected and it didn't look bad.
At the first qualification it went wrong already, when I overtook I left the track and given the lap times were very close to each other, it lost 10 points in the ranking.
The same thing happened with...
We arrived Thursday pretty well prepared at the track in Rucphen. By the way this has been one of the tracks where we originally tested the rear end from the 977 Evo2 which has been pretty much the basic for nowadays 988 Viper.
Over the practice I was looking for more in corner steering. The performance of the 988 in total from the first practice was pretty solid and I only needed a micron more steering into the corner to make the car rotate. I found myself during the practice every round between P0-P15 and was pretty confident as normally three fast laps are not my specialist area . Switching...
