Simultaneuosly with the Turkish F1 Grand Prix, our friends in Bursa, Turkye stage the 1st Bumod Grand Prix for gaspowered 1/8 and 1/10 scale cars.
Serpent's owner/designer Salven will race Serpent 966/Mega/Xceed there and if time allows next to racing 1/10 DJ Apolaro will race S966/NR too.
Groskamp-NL (Serpent 7XX/Max/Xceed) and DJ Apolaro-USA (Serpent 7XX/NR/ATS/Xceed) will do another test-race with the new Serpent 7XX car with supports of Serpent's sales/logistics manager Stef Helvensteijn and Michael Salven.
Quite a few Europeans make it to this race and even some USA drivers....
Purto Rico: Team Race: Serpent team wins with 720 (03/06/2009)

Last Sunday, Barceloneta RC Speedway in Puerto Rico played host to the 1st Team Challenge race that saw ten teams of three racers taking part.
Each team member would race 40 minutes and afterwards all laps from each team were added up to get the Team Challenge Champions. Team Cortina who were racing Serpent chassis’ took the win, while Team Mugen, who won two of the 3 races, came in second by 6 laps with Team Kyosho finishing in third, 17 laps behind 2nd position.

UK: Green TQ's and Hicklin takes victory with S966/Mega (01/06/2009)

In qualifying Mark Green with S966 was very fast again. Richard Hicklin in excellent 2nd.

In the final Green was lapping 0.5 sec faster than anybody else, incredibly fast, but an error later in the final ruined his chances. Now it was Hicklin in strong position for the win, which he managed in great way. Congratulations !! Nice drive from Tim Woord again too, and Jason in 3rd making it a full Mega ZX DSIII podium.

On the weekend of 30-31 May 2009, Paul attended the West Australian State Titles at the Bunbury On Road Car Club with his Serpent 720 and the new Serpent 966.
Below are the highlights for the weekend
1st off, the 720 and the 966 TQ'd
new 10 min lap record. 36 laps for tourer, and 39 laps for 8th scale.
new lap record 200mm - Serpent 720 with 15.9 seconds. first tourer ever to hit the 15 sec bracket.
new lap record for 8th scale - Serpent 966 with 14.877, first 8th scale to hit the 14 sec bracket.
Paul also took out the 10th scale 200m win for the weekend

Vadala from Italy has been able to secure the 3rd place on the podium for Serpent.
Vadala was strong all week and drove a steady semi-final to deserve his spot in the main.
French Serpent driver Abisset was also very close to a podium finish and secured the 4th spot.
Vaccariello took 7th place in the final and drove a steady race, well done !!
13 year young Gruber from Germany drove an excellent semi-final to get into the main. He missed a good result in the 2nd qualifier on friday. A shame as his laptimes would have been good enough for a top-4 position. In the main final he was...

The 2nd heat friday was the fastest one. Serpent drivers put 6 cars in the semi. Well done !
On the saturday only very few drivers were faster.
Serpent drivers Blok, Abisset and Gruber were among the 10 fastest drivers on the saturday. All 3 of them with some issues in the 2nd heat on friday. This means they need to start in the semi finals, but the laptimes they made on saturday were very promising. Only Tq-man Carmine and Mack were faster.
