This past weekend we went to the Southern German qualifying round in Amberg
I started in the 1:10, 200 mm class, using my Serpent 720 powered by an IDM engine and IDM tyres.
I had some minor problems in the qualifying rounds and ended up in sixth place , which meant that I would run in the ½ B-Final.
I was able to win the ½ Final with a comfortable lead, which got me the sixth starting position for the final..

Mark Green had a superb pole last weekend with Serpent 966. Setting a new lap and track-record !!
Richard Hicklin with his Mega powered 966 in 2nd after qualifying.
In the final with 5 Serpent 966, it was Mark taking a lead, but a crash with a backmarker ended his victory lane.
A strong final by

Last weekend first race of this year took place in Munster - one of the traditional tracks in the north of Germany – fast, but also technical. Weather was fine during practise, but forecast also promised some rain for Sunday.
Qualification runs were a battle between Andreas Giesa and Lars Hoppe for the lead. Both were the only ones doing the 21 laps. Saturday’s overnight pole took Hoppe with a 1 second gap on Giesa, who was short on fuel on his last lap in heat 1. Giesa could improve himself on Sunday morning in heat 2 and had a 2 second gap and the lead, but this changed in heat 3 again...

On the 7/5/09 the Moto GP world champion Valentino Rossi decided to have some more fun with rc-cars..the previous time (one week before) he drove Stefano Armagni's car and he told to be very amused with his driving.

The second Round of the Brazilian Championship took place in the South of Brazil Curitiba this weekend.
My Dad and I were really ill with a flu and we only manage to get to the track on Saturday 2nd May directly for the qualifying, without training.
Last time I had being to the Curitibas track was in 2006 and didnt have the race because was raining.
The track was very bumpy and unlevelled so we had to work the rear suspension of the car to make sure to have a car balanced in the braking . We manage to get a good rightness in the back suspension and I manage to take the TQ.

« Just back from the 3rd round of the french championship, in EVRY, in the south of Paris.
We had a very good weather during the 3 days.
On Friday, the grip wasn’t very high, and a few parts of the track were very slippery, so a lot of drivers have been surprised and have broken their car going out of the big curve in which we usually go full throttle. I was one of them…
On Saturday, the grip was quite better for the heats, and I could take the 3rd place of the qualifications, just behind Stéphane Bouche and Adrien Bertin who TQed. So, the same 3 drivers as last month in Concarneau, at the...

In National Class, Gerald Colinet (RB / SERPENT 966) Top Qualified, 7 seconds in front of the following driver ! If he had been racing in Elite class, he would have qualified 9th.
In the 30 minutes National main final, he finished 2nd, so he doesn’t take the title yet. The winner is Damien Thirion, another RB/SERPENT 966 driver, who did a great final, after qualifying 10th !

Valentino Rossi tried the Serpent 960 from a local driver in march, and now late april had another go at rc racing with some assistance of Andrea Cristiani, racing the Serpent 966 / Max Power.
