Team Serpent had a very good result at this past weekend Florida State Series race with the Serpent 960.
The Ft. Myers crew prepped the track very good, with great traction for both Saturday and Sunday. A lot of racers were trying to get in one last oppurtunity to race and practice at the Ft. Myers track before the Winternats.
DJ Apolaro showed everyone the fast way around the track with his 960 in qualifying.He bumped his teammate Paolo Morganti from Top Qualifier honors in the last round with a very fast 25 lap qualifier. Paolo's race came up and he...

The new generation of the successful 960 platform is called Serpent 966.
Its not easy to make a very good car even better, but Michael Salven, together with feedback from Team Serpent drivers, made it possible.
Easier to work on, more accessable, more durable, innovative … the works.
Below a list of main new features and some 3D pictures to explain them.

I am doing ok, feeling fine, after some nice xmas celebrations with friends and family in Germany and NewYear parties in Holland.

What changes occurred in Serpent in 2008 ?
A
Many things happened, some planned, some unplanned. Most is back on its feet now and we have some exciting stuff in the pipeline.
We now have a design/marketing office in Heemstede, Holland and production and central distribution is made from SerpentAsia based in HongKong. SerpentEurope will start officially this month, based in Germany...

The Winter Caribbean Cup 2008 took place on December 11 to 14, Puerto Rico.
An exciting four days of racing with two days of practice Thrusday and Friday, five rounds of qualifiers on Saturday and all mains on Sunday. There were some attendance from top racers of the
US, including Serpents Paolo Morganti and Mugen Mike Swauger.

Another good event for Serpent America at the Toys for Tots race.
Toys for Tots Race 2008
Every year the Homestead race crew holds the "Toys for Tots" race for the less privileged children. I love being apart of this race to raise as many toys as possible. It is nice to see racers in a different mind frame. Putting the kids first and being a part of an awesome cause.
The attached pictures show DJ’s TQ and Winning Serpent 960 along with Paolo who performed excellent pit during the final.

Michael Salven has developed a number of new idea’s over 2008 and discussed the performance of the current 08 version with Serpent drivers and Team drivers. Feedback of the drivers is used to take the 960 platform to its next level of development. It was clear that the Serpent drivers are really happy with the current 08 version already, as results also show clearly. So just wait and see how Michael Salven takes the 960 to an even higher level of engineering and performance.

The Serpent S120 has made a very strong introduction on race-tracks around the world.
The new look with the one-piece machined rear pod, the unique central monoshock, the adjustable t-bar tweak-station with blades and the fully adjustable front end has brought a lot of innovations to 1/12.
A few area's needed some improvement and that has been taken care of now.

Serpent / Mega will have a new and larger booth at the 2009 Nurnberg Toyfair. We welcome all distributors, dealers and press to visit our booth in Hall 7A, stand B156
We will have some nice new products on show.
