Opening of new rc track / shop in China, Chengdu (11/12/2008)

On 6 december 2008 Michael Salven and me, were in China to open a new onroad rc car track.
The really nice new rc onroad track is located in Chengdu, on the central west side of China, a city of close to 15 million people.
Thomas and Jun, both owners from the track and also of newly opened rc shop LOPO RC, invited Serpent for this event.

This weekend we had the 4th round of the Florida State Series.
I arrived on Saturday morning to find the track had been prepared very well. I decided to run both classes and looked forward to hanging with the boys.
I started practice with the 1/8 scale and felt like it was very hard to drive. I started working on the setup, but could not seem to find a balance I was happy with. The car was so nervous to drive I could not turn consistent laps. I decided to take a break and run the sedan for a tank to see what it was doing. I had my standard setup and it felt good. After an eventfull GP 1 :8 Championship, a Serpent driver powered by 960-08 Max Power, Xceed tires Andreas Charalambous managed to take the title

Flavio Elias is the new Sao Paulo State Championship 2008 with Serpent 960´08.
Last weekend Flavio have won the last round wich was held in Sto André-SP.
The 2008 Title has being disputed by his Serpent Team Mates Chung Min shu , Flavio and Renato.

Early morning rain delayed the start of the last race for the Puerto Rican Championship Title. The track dried up relatively fast. Although traction was lost due, so some setup changes were in order for many of the drivers.

Actually the area of SerpentAmerica also includes all north America, Central America and South America, accept for Brasil, where RC Performance does an excellent job and Serpent Argentina and team Matticoli take care of Argentina.
The SerpentAmerica web will be launched within soon and SerpentAmerica is stocking up on car-kits and parts and soon the supply situation will have improved a lot.

Swiss, S120 / Shasa wins 1/12 Edelweiss Cup (16/11/2008)

This past weekend we had the first round(of five) of the Edelweiss 1/12 cup in Oey.
This was the first time that Shasa Lackner drove the S120.Feeling comfortable with the car right from the beginning he dominated the whole weekend.
He won both the A finals each by by 2 laps.
Next races for the Edelweiss 1/12 Cup: be there !
