
Next week (22-25 May) drivers from across Europe will travel to Austria for the 2008 EFRA 1:8 Onroad European B Championships which takes place on the Kirchberg track and Team Serpent will be on hand to offer support to the large number of drivers competing with the 960.

Team Serpent Team Brazil enjoyed success in the second round of the Brazilian National Championships over the weekend when Henrique Winik took his 720 08 to victory at Carrefour São Paulo.

The 2008 EFRA 1:10 200mm European B Championship took place in Ampuis, France, last week were local driver Michael Derderien marked himself as one to watch for the future. Driving his Mega MF powered Serpent, the youngster TQ'd the big event making it the second year in a row that the 720 topped the qualifying time sheets at the EFRA race.

Daniel Tomaschko took an important race win over the weekend when he won the EC-B Warm-up race at Kirchberg. Driving his 960 '08/Mega MF combination, the Austrian driver set a new track record on his way to the victory.

The first round for the 2008 UK 235mm and Truck Series was held at the New Cotswold Circuit recently where Serpent topped the results.
Racing on the fast and flowing circuit which features a down hill section in the middle of the track, it was Richard Boult who TQ'd the Trucks with his 720 chassis while Glyn Beal took pole in the 235mm class with his Serpent 835.

Round 2 of the BRCA British 1:8 Nationals took place at Halifax yesterday were Team Serpent UK controlled proceedings to take the 960 '08 to a 1-2-3 result.

The Swiss 1:8 Nationals got underway over the weekend at Wallisellen where Team Serpent driver Shasa Lackner TQ'd the event with his 960 before going on to secure a podium finish.

Serpent are pleased to announce that after some unexpected delays in production, the 2008 specification S960 car kits are finally available again. Being shipped to distributors on the 1st week of May, they should arrive in various markets by the 2nd week of May.

Maxim Claes marked himself out as a young racer to watch when the 15-year-old took his Mega MF powered Serpent 720 '08 to victory in the opening round of the T2 Belgian 1:10 200mm National Championship over the weekend.

Howdy fellow Serpent Team and column readers. This Florida State Off Road Series event was the fifth leg of their 7 race series. The event was to be held in Ocala, Florida at the Ocala RC Club. I took the trip from Tampa on up to Ocala, approx. 1 hour 10 minute drive and was really surprised upon the arrival. It was only Friday, the first day of practice and the park was full of Trailers/tents. I would say at least 60 from my line of sight. It was like a big race, but was just a State Series event.
