
Fresh from his electric buggy win in Hohenems, Jörn Neumann was off to Quakenbrück with his 1:8 Nitro prototype Serpent buggy where he would make his debut with new engine sponsor OS.

DJ Apolaro took an important win at the Fort Myers track over the weekend in the 5th round of the Florida State Series but what made this event so important was that many of factory drivers from across the US where in attendance in preparation for the up coming WinterNats - the unofficial World Championships!

Serpent development driver Joern Neumann continues his work on the new four wheel drive EP buggy and recently took the car to victory in the France at the Petit RC Indoor Race in Paris.

The 2008 nitro season got underway in Cyprus over the weekend and it was business as usual for Team Serpent as Nicholas Zachariades dominated the event.
The regining Cyprus 1:10 Nitro Challenge Champion was driving his new 720 08 and put in a superb heat to TQ for the event. Starting from the number one spot on the grid Zachariades cruised home to take the win. In early stages it looked like it was going to be a 1-2 for Serpent as the newest member to the team Andreas Charalambous held second but an unfortunate incident forced him to retire. Marios Charalambous drove a solid race to finish sixth...

This weekend at the ACO Racing Track in the New Territories, Hong Kong, Serpent's 2008 Serpent Nitro Tour will kick off with its first event of the New Year which is being hosted by our Asian dristributor World Model.
The event will see racing for 1:8, 1:10 200mm and Serpent's unique F180 with numbers restricted to 100 drivers to ensure maximum track time for all those competitors joining in the annual two day event. Already entries have been received from Macau, China, Malaysia, Japan, Korea, Thailand and of course Hong Kong.

Last weekend nitro racing went indoors to the Munzig circuit for the Winter Cup race in Saxony, Germany. Racing at the event, which saw Serpent drivers occupy all three podium places, was Mark Pearson who sent us this indept report -

Serpent is pleased to announce the release of the car that was top qualifier at the 2007 1/8th scale World Championships and EFRA European Championships, the 960-08. Having finished a close 2nd at the Worlds, as well as having won the ultra competitive Japanese National Championships, the 2008 version has already proven its pace and is now ready to be released.

Serpent is pleased to announce the release of the ‘08 spec of the European Championship winning Serpent 720 chassis. Maintaining the cars race winning geometry and already high specification, the 2008 version will now be supplied with a number of great option parts as standard.
