
Gabriele Longo has sent us these pictures of his nicely finished Serpent F180.

After the first successful racing school organized by Serpent the second edition was held at the outdoor circuit AMCA Apeldoorn. Saturday morning around 8.30 am the racing school teachers gathered to make their way to Apeldoorn. The Serpent team consists of Ruud Schuitemaker, Rob Kuijper, Koen Geurds and Nick de Boer who prepared themselves for an active day in teaching racing.

Rolando Dias Oliván from Spain has sent use this stunning action picture of his Serpent F180.
Finished in the Ferrari Grand Prix team colours, you could easily be forgiven for mistaking this F180 for the real thing.

Team Spain have confirmed their participation in the 2007 Serpent Nations Cup with nine drivers making the trip to Lisbon, Portugal, for the November 9-11th event.
Entering a team in both the 1:8 and 1:10 competitions, Spain's challenge will be headed by 1:10 European Championship finalist Oscar Cabezas who himself will form part of the five car 1:10 team.

After an amazing run from the quarter finals and overcoming a lost lap at the beginning of the hour long main final, young Italian Serpent 960 driver Andrea Cristiani has claimed the runner up spot at this years World Championships. Having had to pit early in the race for a tire related problem, caused by contact, Andrea rejoined over a lap down on the rest of the field and set about unlapping himself from the entire field, setting the fastest lap of the race by 2 tenths of a second on his way to 2nd. 14-year-old Maxim Claes made himself a young man to watch out for in 2008 as he notched up a superb victory in the final round of the Belgian 1:10 200mm Championships last weekend at Charleroi.
Racing for only 18 months, the promising teenager qualified his Serpent 720/Mega combination second for the Final before going on to get the better of new champion Manuel Henriet to take the win and secure 3rd overall in the championship.

The Noris Cup took recently and Mark Pearson travelled to the Germany to the MAC Nuremberg Club’s Zollhausring. Racing his Serpent, Mark enjoyed a strong result taking his 720 to a podium finish.

Nicholas Zachariades has closed in on the Cyprus 1:10 200mm National Championship title after taking yet another win over the weekend with his Mega powered Serpent 720.
Racing at the Daytona track in Nicosia, Zachariades TQ'd for the event before going on to notch up yet another National victory. It wasn't all plain sailing in the final however for the young racer as a mistake saw him loose the lead but a determined recovery drive allowed him to come back to take the victory in impressive style.

With rain affecting round 5 and 6 on Thursday, the organisers cancelled the running for that day and decided to try and run round 6 on Friday morning before the lower finals. Unfortunately the weather didnt want to play along and the 6th round of qualifying was also abandoned. This left Serpent 960 racer, Massimo 'Max' Fantini in pole position for this years World Championship, having set the fastest time in qualifying on Wednesday, a fantastic result for the team who are using the new rear end for this World Championships.

Massimo Fantini has continued to lead the way in Argentina by going faster in Wednesdays round 3 and 4, held early for the faster heats 7-12. The Italian driver, racing the Serpent 960 bettered his previous pole time by 9 seconds to secure the top spot going into the final days qualifting. The 2nd position is held by Lamberto Collari, over 3 seconds behind, with Adrien Bertin in 3rd and Chris Tosolini in 4th.
