EFRA GP Rd1, unfortunately this race didn’t really go to plan for me. In practice my car started good, but trying to improve I lost my way with the setup a little bit. Eventually we were back on pace but unfortunately this wasn’t really till the last round of qualifying so a bit late really.
A big number of drivers attended, alone 75 drivers in the F1 class.
We had a full table of Serpent drivers. By the way: if you want to sit at the serpent table at any event, just let us know.
Practice started well with me finishing second in the first and only free practice and continued like that, with another 2nd place in the controlled practice.
I could actually win the first qualifying before I got lost a little bit in the next runs due to changing track conditions. But still I could start from second place.
For the finals I had sorted out my setup issues, by mostly returning to my ETS...
Well, EFRA GP is already in the books. Despite, it was a little frustrating when I ran out of fuel when I was 2nd and just the straight was missing for the finish line, I’m very happy with a final 3rd position and to be on the podium with 2 bigs of RC.
The 2019 Dirt Nitro challenge this year was set to receive a new home in Perris, California. The Perris County Fairgrounds, was excited to hold the event, and was even more excited to have it as a staple in their yearly events moving into the future. With Joey and his Dirt Crew they basically had to build the drivers stand, bring in the dirt, pipes, stakes, as well as all the shipping containers to provide the event. That’s a pretty tall order, but, they were up for the challenge. The event itself was attended by some of the biggest names racing RC cars as well as just about every single manufacturer...
Alexander Stocker wins Marka Racing Trophy!
The Serpent Project 4X PRO is a logical evolution over the 4X EVO. it shares all features of the 4x evo including the same easy to build and setup shock system and fixed-length pullrods, while the vertical topdeck is replaced by a horizontal topdeck for more aggressive steering on high grip surfaces and the rear suspension is heavily modified with much longer arms and a different geometry to create more steering and widen the setup window on medium to high grip asphalt. For maximum rear stability and steering precision which is needed in stock classes, there is a fixed-toe rear wheelcarrier included...
1/10 Regionals in the books.
December 22nd we headed out to famous Mills Pond R.C. track where we were provided a perfect surface for racing.
Justin Fales took the win in 4 wheel mod and 2 wheel mod. The struggle was real trying to adapt from what was a loose track Friday to the high bite surface Saturday. But by the end of round one qaulies we had a good handle on it and was able to put power back into the Serpent cars to produce some needed speed.
Justin Fales attended Southern Indoor Championship in Alabama this weekend.
