SERPENT TAKE PODIUM DOUBLE IN PORTUGUESE NATIONAL OPENER (16/03/2006)

43 drivers attended the 1st round of the Portuguese 1/10 200mm championship, held in Albufeira, Algarve. Located in the south of Portugal, the track had high grip and good traction. Weather was the best for model car racing, with sun all weekend, but not to hot.
A word of appreciation to the Spanish driver that made his presence in Albufeira, Ivan Castro Fernandez.
Qualifying heats started Sunday morning with a whole different level since last year. Lots of drivers are driving faster and better, meaning they are working hard to get better results.
235mm SERPENT SERIES LAUNCHED IN BELGIUM (16/03/2006)

Belgium has become the first country to run a Serpent Series for Serpent 1/10 235mm cars and hot on the heals of the announcement Luc Steylaerts is the Series' first entry. Luc is expected to debut his own specially developed version of the Serpent 835 chassis.
The 5 round 'Series' will run as part of the Belgian 1/10th 235mm National Championship and will be co-ordinated by Mr. 235 himself Willy Wuyts.

Mega is expanding the engine-line-up with 2 exciting new releases.
The Mega line-up already consists of the Mega ZX-series - affordable, high performance engines manufactured by Picco Micromotori in Italy which include .12 / .15 / .21 on and off-road as well as Small block .26 and Big Block 28 engines. Exciting news on the ZX21 DSII will follow soon.
A recent addition to the Mega line-up is the SP series of engine to cater for the Ready-to-Race cars and for the budget oriented racers. The first engine in this line is the SP-12 which is a great entry level engine for those racers running...
SLOVENIAN PRE-SEASON SET-UP EVENT THIS SUNDAY (14/03/2006)

Top Modeltehnik will hold its 2006 Pre-Season Serpent Set-up event this Sunday, March 19th.
Following the success of last year’s workshop session, held in the Top Modeltehnik shop, the Slovenian Serpent distributor will this year take the event trackside and host the event at the Tolmin track to allow drivers experience first hand the effects set-up changes have on their car.
Open to both 1:8 and 1:10 Serpent cars, this is an ideal opportunity for drivers to extend their knowledge on car preparation/set-up and a chance to get in valuable track time ahead of the new season.
