Joaquin De Soto jr wins the 2018 Sanwa Grand Prix at the Steel City RC Speedway in the 1/8 open class!!
With his Serpent 988 he qualified 4th but could take the win in the final. And in second place who qualified 3th Chris Velez with his Serpent 988.

Third place at the ENS in Aigen!

We arrived Wednesday evening in wonderful Austria in Aigen-Schlägl. When we got up on Thurday we had a day of beautiful weather and a well prepared track to race oon. Arriving with the setup from Ettlingen in practice I stayed within the Top5-Top8 and tried different things on my 988 Viper such as green springs in the front and several Blitz body positions.

The last ENS in Aigen is in the books. Again bad luck for me in the final. Practise on Thursday started well and from the beginning it was very close on the top. The traction was super low at the beginning but became better and better. The forecast sayed rain for the whole Friday but we were able to finish the free practise until it rained. I was top seed for the qualification and could win also the first two rounds. In the third round I did a small mistake and touched the curb to much and rolled over. During the qualifications on Sunday, John Ermen put down the first TQ by not refueling.
Robin D'hondt the second time and myself on three. with six seconds behind Robin by a mistake. The second Q. I improved my time with 6 sec. and came on 1 sec. Robin and John were not feasible due to the loss of the refueling.
Except John, there was no one who made the five minutes. Also John not in Q 2 and 3. In q. 3 times were not improved.

Race report Mikael Fransson Swedish cup race 1 Växjö (26/06/2018)

The first race of the swedish cup series 2018 was held in Växjö. Actually it was supposed to be the
second round but the first race in Eskilstuna was cancelled due to a low number of participants.
At the race in Växjö however a good number of racers turned up. 45 participants in total in three
different categories decided to particpate and in the 1/8 class it was 26 drivers. Among these it was
four drivers from Denmark that made the trip to Sweden.
The weather was extremely hot during whole weekend and lap times where not as fast as previous
years.
