Interview with Michael Salven on the new Viper 977-EVO
Hello Michael,
We have some questions for you on the latest Serpent release of the Viper 977-EVO.
Few years ago Serpent introduced the Viper 977 , which is basically the 9th Serpent 1/8 scale platform, since Serpent started in 1979 with the Super-Pro. In 2013 Tadahiko Sahahsi TQ-ed and won the World Championship, and Serpent introduced the Viper 977 WC edition right after.
Now its time to introduce the next development step, the Viper 977-EVO. Below some questions on that .

Serpent is looking for a new partner in Turkye to act as the exclusive distributor for Turkye.
Serpent offers a 30 car plus car line, with spares and optionals for same. It includes onroad and offroad, GP and EP, in almost all scales.

903379 Bumper aero 966-977 plus inserts L+R
903618 Aero bumper inserts L+R 977
For the Serpent 966 ( all versions) and Viper 977 ( all versions) Serpent introduce this new version of the front bumper, which features click type inserts on the left and right.
Serpent teamdriver Merlin Depta came up with this idea, so you can change fast between racing with or w/h inserts. It’s a few second job to insert or remove. Once inserted they click really firmly in place.
Running without inserts normally gives more steering, especially in high speed corners. Yet its al about set-ups and testing,...

Serpent drivers from Japan Yuya and Tadahiko Sahahsi are both continueing their cooperation with Serpent.
Yuya Sahahsi last year was vice champion at the1/10 Worlds in Japan with the Serpent Natrix 748 car.
Tadahiko TQ-ed and won the World Championship in 1/8 scale with his Viper 977.
Both now work in the full size racing car scene in Japan as mechanics, and have less time to race all rc events, but for sure will show up at some big races !
