PORTUGAL ANNOUNCE FIRST SERPENT SERIES OF 2006 (03/01/2006)

Portugal has become the first country to announced details of its Serpent Series for 2006.  Vintesete, the people responsible for Serpent in Portugal, have announced a 10 round calendar and the introduction of a new 1/10 200mm Serpent Series.



Created last year to recognise the efforts and dedication of 1/8 scale Serpent racers across Europe, the 2005 Series was a huge success attracting 209 competitors in 14 countries.



This year up to 17 countries are expect to join Portugal in running their own Serpent Series' with most set to following the Portuguese initiative of adding a 1/10 200mm Series.



Once again all the 1/8 scale Serpent Series’ will climax with the Serpent Nations Cup which gives the Series Champions the opportunity to race for their country against fellow champions from around Europe.
