Hi folks,
On the weekend of the 29th-30th of April the Serpent Nitro Tour decended
to France, Paris (Carole) to be exact.
This is also the track on which the upcoming European Championship B
will be held in 3 weeks.
It’s a beautiful track with a sweeper at the end of the straight and a lot of
turns where you don’t leave the throttle before deep into the corner,
you have also a chicane in the part just before the straight which you take
on throttle to be quick, so it’s rather technical.
We (with Richard Keur and Jordy Block) arrived at the track on saterday afternoon and because the weather was great we immediately started practising.
In the beginning the car was good, but not so good to drive really quick laptimes,
so I changed the rear to-in, springs, position of the roll-bars…..
(I’ve posted my set-up sheet in the set-up section)
I also changed the 1st and 2nd gear, I started 45-49 but ended wit 44-47.
To my opinion this worked best.
That was it for saturday.
In the evening we went for diner with Eric Aita from RB to catch up a little bit.
Sunday the day started great, so we could again train a little bit to optimise the set-up
By the time training ended, the laptimes were pretty good.
But, then it started to rain, so the race itself was rained out.
During lunch, Richard presented the new Serpent F-180 car, a very
nice, goodlooking car if you ask me.
Afterwards we drove home again, unfortunately, because it rained pretty
heavily.
As I said before I have posted my set-up in the set-up section, it can give
all serpent drivers, who will attend to the upcoming EC-B, a good set-up
to begin with.
See ya,
Steven
