Serpent Driver Development duo Sebastian Brixner and Kyle Branson will both contest this weekend's European 1/8th B Championships at Carole in France and it will be a very different experience for both these young talents.

For Brixner, the event will be his second 1/8 European Championship experience having raced at last year's event at Bamberg in his home country of Germany.  In total contast, the trip to France will be an all new experience for Branson, as the event will mark his first ever race outside of his native United Kingdom.  Focusing his attentions on the British 1/10th National Championship in which he took a superb podium finish recently, the event will also be only his sixth ever race with a 1/8th car.

Talking about his chances for the weekend Brixner said, 'I have seen pictures of the track and I think it is going to be technical to drive.  Obviously my hopes are to be competitive and ultimately I want to make the final and put in a good performance.'

For 12-year-old Branson, the current European 1/10th Junior Champion, the event is all about gaining experience.  'This will be my first time to race outside the UK and I am really looking forward to it.  My aim is to drive to the best of my ability and take away as much experience as possible.'  Asked if he felt any extra pressure due to his European Junior title Kyle said, 'No, I never really feel under pressure.'

Serpent's SDD driver mentor Michael Salven, a multiple European Champion himself, will be on hand to support both drivers over the weekend.  Serpent are the current European 'B' Champions having won last year’s event with Belgium's Steven Cuypers.
