AUSTRIAN SERIES VISITS CZECH REPUBLIC (06/06/2006)

The Austrian Serpent Series travelled to the Czech Republic over the weekend for its second round and the Action Line promoted event attracted 26 drivers from four different countries.

In the 1:10th 235mm race it was business as usual for Romanian driver Christian Faur who took his second win of the 2006 Series. Runner up was Hungary's Zsolt Horvath with Wolfgang Schier of Austria completing the podium.

After a disappointing opening round at Kirchberg in Austria, 2005 Vice Champion Christian Schiff got his title hopes back on track with victory in the 1/8 class at Brno. The result moves him into the joint lead of the standings on 194 points with Franz Schinko who finished third on this occasion behind second placed Petr Marek.

Victory in the 1:10th 200mm class went to Andras Csedo of Hungary ahead of local drivers Drahoslav Hejtmanek and Oldrich Groch.
