WHAT/WHERE/WHEN/WHO?

The Serpent Nations Cup is an end of season team event in which Serpent drivers race for their country and the title of ‘Nations Cup’ Champions.

2006 is the second running of the event that was last year won by Great Britain following a titanic battle with host nation Team Spain

Where - Lisbon, Portugal (Monsanto Circuit)

When - 14/15 October 2006

Who - The Serpent Nations Cup is organised by Serpent Motorsport and will cater for Serpent 1/8th scale cars.

HOW?

Entry to the Serpent Nations Cup is by invitation only.  Drivers can obtain an entry in two ways.  The majority of entries will go to the Champions and Vice-Champions of each Serpent Series run across Europe by our distributors.

For non Serpent Series competitors or in countries in which there is no Serpent Series, driver can apply for one of the limited wildcard entries that will be allocated to each of our distributors.  Application for a wildcard entry should be made via your national Serpent distributor.

There is no entry fee for the Serpent Nations Cup and during the event Serpent will make available at special discounted prices fuel, tires and spare parts (full details to be announced).

FORMAT?

The Serpent Nations Cup is a team event.  Each team will consist of four drivers each of whom will play an equal part in the race format.

Run over two legs, points will be awarded at the end of each day.  The team with the highest combined score will be declared ‘Serpent Nations Cup’ Champions.

THEME?

While serious racing will be the main element of the Serpent Nations Cup, Serpent Motorsport once again aim to use the event as an end of season celebration for its drivers.  By running it as a team event we hope to continue to encourage the sharing of information among our drivers.

We also want to build on the friendships made in Spain last year and introduce more Serpent communities to one another in the company of our Portuguese hosts.
