The third round of the 1/8th Spanish National Championships took place over the weekend in Gijon and it was 'Serpent Driver Development' member Oscar Cabezas who took the win.

Starting on the front row of the grid alongside Spanish Team driver Carlos Peracho who TQ'd his 960, Oscar make a very quick start to take the early lead and by the 4-minute stage the talented teenager had opened up an 8 second advantage.

Keeping out of trouble, the 19-year-old, from Madrid, continued to extend his lead and eventually crossed the finish line two laps ahead of second placed Josué Artilesto to record his second win of the championship.

A superb result for Oscar in what is one of Europe's most competitive National Championships with 76 1/8th drivers making the trip to Gijon.
