GROSKAMP GOES TOP FOR SERPENT (18/08/2006)

World class electro racer Jilles Groskamp has moved to the top of the qualiying sheets at the 1:10 Euros following a strong second run this afternoon in The Netherlands.

With the first round held on a wet track, the times tumbled in second qualifying as drivers took to a dry track. Making only his second appearance driving the 720, Groskamp recorded 19 laps in a time of 05:02.920 to top the time sheets ahead of team mate and fellow Dutchman Julius Kolff.

Also in the top 10 for Serpent was Steven Cuypers from Belgium in 4th and 1:8 Euro Champion Fabio Domanin from Italy in 6th.

Jacky Mouton and Mark Green who topped first qualifying both had a disappointing second run with them falling to 32nd and 15th positions respectively. Both drivers are confident of improving in today's final heat.
