SALVEN TQs 720 FOR EUROS (19/08/2006)

Michael Salven put in a sensational final qualifying run this morning (Saturday) to snatch pole for tomorrow's all important main final at EFRA 1:10 European Championships in Holland.



Lying a disappointing 21st position over night, the former European Champion snatched pole from Serpent team mate and over night pole sitter Mark Green with a record breaking 20 lap run in a time of 05:13.5.



With Green 2nd and Jilles Groskamp 4th, Serpent are guaranteed at least three 720s in the final.  The other direct qualifier is former Serpent factory driver Rick Vrielijnck.



Also in the top ten for Serpent are Dutch GP winner Julius Kolff in 7th and Belgian Steven Cypers in 8th.
