Serpent drivers dominated the seventh round of the BRCA National 1:8th Championships in Halifax, England over the weekend with Ian Campbell TQ'ing for the event and Gareth Bell taking the win.
Irish driver Campbell, a regular in the British Championship, used his 960 to good effect in qualifying to top the time sheets and secure pole for the A final.
Unfortunately young Campbell, 3rd in the previous round at Crystal Palace, was unable to convert his P1 starting position into victory as engine problems forced his into retirement.
This left Bell and Elite RC team driver Tim Wood to battle it out for the win. Bell managed to stay ahead for second win of the season to record a superb 1-2 result for Serpent's 960.
The eighth round of the BRCA National Championship moves to Mendip on September 17th.
