SERPENT RULES IN SLOVENIAN NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS (06/09/2006)

The latest round of the Slovenian National Championship saw Serpent take victory in both 1:8th and 1:10th when the series visited the Aytron Senna track in Zagreb, Croatia.




The first national outing for the new 720, Nejc Duh gave the car a superb debut win to lead home a complete Serpent podium in the 1:10th encounter.  Setting the fastest lap of the 30 minute final, Duh headed home Serpent 710 racers Luka Ploj and Vladimir Knehtl who secured 2nd and 3rd respectively.






In the 1:8th class top international racer Jernej Vuga was in dominant form with his Serpent 960.  Setting a TQ time that was over a lap faster than his nearest rival, the reigning Champion cruised to victory in the 30 minute final winning by a margin of 5 laps.  An EFRA GP winner, Vuga also recorded the fastest lap of the race with a time of 17.156 seconds.  




Also on the podium for Serpent in Zagreb was promising youngster Nejc Mihelič also driving a 960.
