GEISENDORF WINS LATEST SWISS ENCOUNTER (06/09/2006)

Markus Geisendorf took his Serpent 960 to victory in the penultimate round of the Swiss National Championship at Motodrom, Sitterdorf, over the weekend.

In qualifying, Geisendorf secured the TQ position from the 31 car field with a time of 21 laps in 05:12.971. Starting from P1 he went to win the 45 minute A final by a comfortable 4 lap margin setting the fastest lap of the race in the process.

In the 1:8th Amateur Class, which attracted 38 entries, it was another TQ for Serpent with Beat Wälti posting the fastest run in qualifying. Unfortunately Wälti suffered gearbox trouble in the 30 minute encounter and was eventually classified 6th.
