3rd race Slovenian champs - Zagreb (13/09/2006)

Hello to everybody!
On 3rd September we had our 3rd national race on the Ayrton Senna track in Zagreb (Croatia).
WE arrived at the track on Saturday afternoon to have some praactise and to meet again with friends.

The track was still very dirty so the grip level was low.
I tested 2 cars with 2 different set-ups.
I chose the 2nd one, because it had more grip, the 1st one was set-up for high grip conditions.

At the end of the das I was quite pleased with my 960/Novarossi 35 Plus 21/Enneti package.

Qualifying & Final

On Sunday before the 1st heat I checked the fuel consumption and it was OK.
In the 1st heat I drove a steady qualifying to make a good time and the car was quite fast.
For the 2nd one I chose to test the tyres I would use in the final, so my best lap was a little worse, but I did a better overal time.
I didn't run the final heat, because I wanted to preserve the car & engine.
At the end I was allmost 1 lap ahead of the second.

The final started and finished well for me, only my engine was very rich all the final, but we decided not to adjust it, because I was fast enough.
I finished with 5 laps lead.

Conclusions

I was very happy for the win, because the whole weekend all worked without problems.

I also used this event to test more things for the EFRA GP in Fiorano and I discovered some interesting set-ups that might work for the GP.

At the end I would like to thank my family and all my sponsors: Serpent Motorsport, Novarossi, Enneti and Top-modeltehnik for their support.

Finally, also the organization was good so it was a nice event.
