Serpent dominated the final round of the BRCA National 1:10 Championships in Cotswold over the weekend.
In the 1:10 200mm class, the 720s of Joe Kerry and Mark Christopher took the early lead in damp qualifying. For the third heat the sun appeared and Chris Slater made the most of the dry track to TQ his 720.
Making the most of his P1 starting position Chris took the win leading for almost all of the 30 minute final with Mega MF powered Serpent. Only European Championship podium finisher Darren Johnson briefly headed the Team Elite R/C driver's as he made his final pit stop.
In the 235mm class, Greg Fairlie took the TQ to deny Glyn Beal the pole for only the second time this season. In the race however Beal stormed to victory with his Porsche 911 Cup bodied Serpent 835 finishing ahead of Serpent Series title hopeful John Withington.
In the Junior Class the very 'cool' Alex Thurston took top honours. Chris and Glyn better watch out for this promising young charger!
