Serpent's 960 and 720 took qualifying for the Italian EFRA Grand Prix over the weekend by storm securing TQ position in both the 1:8 and 1:10 classes.
In 1:8 qualifying at the Fiorano circuit current European B Champion Andrea Cristiani once again showed himself to be a star of the future by pipping current World Champion Lamberto Collari to the TQ position with another sporting legend Alberto Picco setting the third fastest time.
In the 45 minute Final, Cristiani lead the field until he was given a 10 second penalty handing the race to Collari. At the end the margin between Collari and Cristiani was just 12 seconds but the young Italian had made his mark in his head to head battle with one of the sports most successful drivers.
In the 1:10 class, Serpent's 720 continued to notch up more achievements with Alessio Mazzeo topping qualifying ahead of fellow 720 racer Massimo Vadala. Unfortunately Mazzeo was unable to convert his qualifying success into victory however Vadala held his position to represent Serpent on the podium.
