SERPENT 960 ONE-TWO IN IRISH 1:8 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP (31/10/2006)

Serpent took a convincing 1-2 in the Irish 1:8 National Championships which came to a climax recently at the St. Annes track which is situated on the out skirts of the country's capital city Dublin.





The six round championship saw Serpent cars take five wins with champion Clive Connolly take 3 of those victories with his 960.  Vice-Champion Darragh Fox won the season opener while Dean Lacey won the fourth encounter on his way to fourth in the overall standings.


Attracting 13 cars the Irish 1:8 National Championship enjoyed a strong season with the top four separated by just 6 points in the final standings.





2007 looks set to see further growth of the sport in Ireland with more cars and in particular more Serpents set to join the grid.




In the 1:10 National Championships Serpent also enjoyed success with Eoin Doran taking two wins on his way to securing the Vice-Champion crown.
