Juan Ignacio Matticoli is the double 2006 Metropolitan Argentine Champion. The Serpent driver won both the 1:8 and 1:10 championships held at the Circuit Hernan Matticoli.
Overall Serpent enjoyed a very successful campaign in Argentina with no less then five Serpents occupying the Top 10 final standings in 1:8 and four 720 securing a Top 8 placing in the 1:10 Championship.
Matticoli also enjoyed success in the 2-day 1:8th Argentine Nationals held recently at the Circuit Ferial in Cordoba, host track for the 2007 IFMAR Worlds. The event, which attracted the top drivers from across Argentina, saw Matticoli crowned Vice-Champion driving his 960.
