Serpent announce strong line for 2007 Winternats (25/01/2007)

Serpent has put together an impressive team for next months Florida Winternats.  The annual event which has now established itself at the first major nitro race responsible for kickstarting each new season runs from February 11-17th.


The current 1:10 Winternat Champions, Serpent's line up will include defending champion Paolo Morganti who will also race also in the 1:8 category.  Joining him in 1:10 is fellow countryman and top Florida State Series competitor DJ Apollo who knows the Florida track well.


Adding an international flavour to Team Serpent's line is Factory driver Mark Green, emerging Austrian talent Daniel Tomaschko, fellow country man Gerhard Kandelhart and top Dutch racers Richard Keur & Ruud Schuitmaker.


The first appearance of the 720 on the event, the car's chief designer Rene Cornella, who is also a very capable racer, will also form part of the Serpent team.


In 1:8, former Winternats TQ & Champion Michael Salven heads the line-up.  He will be joined by Italian star Massimo Fantini, Serpent Development Driver team member & former champion Scotty Gray and Morganti.


During the event Serpent have planned a number of activities for all Serpent competitors including a tech talk on Monday night.  Hosted by Salven and Green this will be following by complimentary drinks and snacks to give drivers the opportunity to chat with the full team.
