Serpent showed its latest product releases at the 2007 Nürnberg Toyfair in Germany.
Main product releases were the superb looking 1/8 scale Formula car which will be available as Kit-version, with or without Mega FT-28 rotostart engine, and as Ready to Race version. All versions will include the large F180 pit-bag with nylon drawer and trolley system. More info will be published in the next few weeks.
Also on show were the latest versions of the Serpent 960 and Serpent 720, both with some small updates, and the Serpent 835 in Porsche Supercup guise.
For Mega, the latest ZX-series engines were displayed including the IFMAR version Mega ZX12 and new versions of the Mega ZX-21 on and off road named DSII+. Another new release is a strong and very affordable ZX-21 engine in 3 port configuration, aimed mainly at off road use for the hobby-racer thats wants Italian made engine power at a "far-east" price. Comes with closed, pull-start or rotostart backplate.
Also new releases under the Mega MF label and its MasMo modified versions were the Mega MF12 as IFMAR version and a brand-new version of the MF21, called Mega MF21 Nine MasMo Ceramic. This is one of the best engines money can buy: 9 port sleeve, light piston, light crankshaft with silicone, ceramic balls in the main bearing and a new cooling-head design. A similar version is also available for off road with a 5 port sleeve optimised for reliability, torque and mid-range power. More details soon.
The new Powerstart starter box was also on display, which comes in a nice looking and handy carry case which is included. Released in April.
It was a very successful event for Serpent and almost all Serpent Distributors from Europe, and many from outside Europe, visited the Serpent booth and were we informed them about our future plans and products for 2007 and beyond.
