Fresh from winning the 8th Worlds Warm Up title in Argentina, Mark Green carried on his winning ways coming home to the UK and taking a superb win in the opening round of the 2007 1:10 200mm National Touring Car Championships.

Held over the weekend at the Tibshelf track in the heart of Derbyshire.  With all the top UK drivers present Mark showed that even using borrowed race equipment, his was still in transit from the Pre Worlds, he was still the man to beat.

Qualifying 4th on the grid, Mark made a steady start in the A final knowing he had 30 minutes on the track.  Reigning Champ Darren Johnson had made a blistering start and had a good lead when he made a mistake and broke his Team Magic car.

In the last 5 minutes Mark was defending his lead from a hard charging Chris Slater who eventually managed to overtake him. Only a few corners later Chris fell off onto the grass allowing Mark to take his Mega powered Serpent 720 to an impressive win.

In 4th spot was 13-year-old Serpent SDD driver Kyle Branson who after qualifying 6th, moved up the field during the race to claimed 4th at the chequered flag.
