D'hondt on top in Belgium (17/04/2007)

Robin D'hondt won the opening round of the Belgian National Championship over the weekend at the Houthalen track which saw Serpent's 960 top all the time sheets.

In qualifying it was Serpent Team driver Steven Cuypers who secured the TQ spot from D'hondt for a Mega MF Nine powered Serpent 960 1-2.

In the half hour final it was D'hondt who came out on top as Cuypers hit trouble to take the victory from Gunther Van Staey.  Cuypers was classified 6th despite not finishing and managed to post the fastest lap of the race.
