Mobers TQs for German Nationals Qualifier (28/05/2007)

On May 20th the second German Nationals qualifier race for 1:10 200mm took place at the small but fast Düren track and it was new Team Serpent Germany signing Markus Mobers who set the pace.

His first time out with the Serpent 720 '07, Mobers set the pace in practice and qualifying setting a new track record of 26 laps to secure the Top Qualifier spot for the race.

Mobers took advantage of his pole and pulled out an early advantage over his rivals but engine problems were to reduce his pace. Loosing 5 laps as a result of the problems, Markus fought on to finish 5th.

A disappointing outcome, Mobers showed he has the pace to win and is already looking forward to the 3rd qualifier race at Megadrom Geilenkirchen.
