The Benelux Championships took place at the Roeselare track in Belgium over the weekend and it was Serpent driver Robin D'hondt who took the top honours in 1:8.
Open to drivers from Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg, the event attracted a quality entry despite the poor weather conditions.
In qualifying it was Belgian National Champion Steven Cuypers who TQ'd for the event ahead of Serpent team-mates John Ermen from the Netherlands and D'Hondt.
Unfortunately Cuypers and Ermen both hit problems in the final allowing D'Hondt to cruise home to a massive 12 lap winning margin with his Mega powered Serpent 960.
Serpent also enjoyed success in the 1:10 class with Dutch team driver Remy Moller and Nick Cuypers, brother of Steven, both finishing on the podium.
