Rischard Dirk got his national championship firmly back on track in the second round of the Luxembourg Championships when he took his Serpent 960 '08 to the TQ and race victory at the Howald track.
After a productive day's testing on the Saturday, Dirk's car was working perfectly for the heats on Sunday and in the second round he secured the TQ time as the only driver to record an 18 lap run. With pole in the bag, Dirk sat out the final heat opting to assist his fellow Serpent drivers.
At the end of qualifying it was an all Serpent front row as Mathieu Arnaud's 960 '08 joined Dirk at the top of the time sheets.
Despite a bad start to the 30 minute final, Dirk quickly regained his composure and by lap three was in command of the race. A consistent drive, no errors and good refuelling by his dad meant the Serpent driver could stretch his lead eventually crossing the finish line some 4 laps clear of his closest rival. Making it a double podium success for Serpent Raymond Libar took his 960 to third.
Also supported by RB Products and Kit Flammang, Dirk will be out to repeat his performance in Round 3 of the Luxembourg Championship on June 29.
