Serpent's 835 chassis notched up yet another European title last weekend winning the EFRA 1:10 235mm European Championships at the MACH track in Holland with Dutch ace Julius Kolff at the controls.
In qualifying it was young Team Serpent driver Robin D’hondt from Belgium who TQ'd the event ahead of former European Champion Kolff.
The 45 minute race saw a great early battle between D'hondt and Kolff with the later eventually finding a way through. D'hondt's challenge for the title was to come to an end as he exited the pits following his second pit stop rolling his Serpent and suffering an engine cut which would cost him three laps.
All clear up front Kolff cruised to victory with D'hondt recovering to finish second with Serpent designer Rene Cornella completing the podium.
In the 40+ 1:8 Euros, which also took place at the MACH, Serpent had two cars on the podium as Andreas Giesa, the man who heads up Serpent's German distributor, finishing second and Stanley Bauer claiming third with his 960.
