Flavio Elias & Serpent are Brazilian Champions (21/10/2008)

Flavio Elias is the 2008 Brazilian 1:8 Champion after he dominated the final round of the national championship over the weekend with record breaking performance driving his Serpent 960 08.

Having just signed for Team Serpent Brazil, Elias was immmediately impressed with the 960 and straight away he was setting a blistering pace. In qualifying he TQ'd the event with a record run of 19 laps in 5:09.437.

Also setting a new outright track record with a lap time of 15.788 over the weekend, in the final Elias set yet another new record putting in 158 laps in 45:10.357 on his way to victory.

After the race his father Jefferson Elias, a very experience mechanic, was very pleased with the performance of Serpent 960 08–OS2 and is very excited about the 2009 season.
