Matticoli takes podium with S960-08 in the 1/8 scale final

Juan Matticoli raced a superb 1/8 scale final with his Serpent 960 in excellent shape, just a lap down on race winner Recio.

Congratulations.

I want you to know that this race "Copa de las Américas 2008" is the most important race in the region after the World Championship and we received drivers from different countries as USA, Brazil, Mexico, Perú, Uruguay and Argentina.
It was raced from 6 to 9 of November in the circuit "Hernán Matticoli" located in La Tablada, Buenos Aires.
We suffered during the final race temperatures of more than 33ºC in the enviroment and more than 56ºC in the floor.
We had some problems in the last 5 laps with the radio control and the car blocked (tilt) 2 times (in lap 113 we lost 13 sec. and in lap 115 we lost 32 sec.) and we still are trying to understand why it happened
