Hello all racers

I went over to the French EFRA GP, for the 1st  race with my brandnew 966 ( 960-08, converted to 966).

It was  a great race and nice experience, but I lacked any luck this time …. As you can read below. Anyway we arrived Friday-morning during controlled practise and still need to find the right set-up.  Each practise showed good progress, faster and faster, and more constant too. I got used to the new Serpent car very quickly .

On Saturday qualifying started ( 4 heats), my 1st was was very fast, I was on 24 lap pace but made an error in the last lap, so not direct into the semi. 2nd heat I ran 23 laps ,. The 3rd and 4th heat were slower as the track was slower, so in the end a 25th postion, so quarter final.

In the quarter final I got a stop and go without any reason, when I came in for the penalty there was no race-official present, so I had to come in once more ….mmm.  Anyway I dove back to 4th place and was close to 3rd when the 2-speed one-way locked up, with only 3 minutes to go.   Race over.

The race was still very nice, but the organisers ( and EFRA) still have things to improve.

The first impression of the Serpent 966 is a very good one. After such a long winterbreak to race again felt very good !!

Thanks for my sponsors Serpent, IDM  and my dad and sister for pitting.

My next race is some practise on another track in Italy, dry and sunny ...  and then the famous Serpent Trophy in april in Fiorano, Italy, so join us there and meet Serpent Italy Team too !!
