FABRICIO ZAMPERETTI IS THE BRAZILIAN CHAMPION LIGHT 2011 WITH 1/8 966 EVO.
The Brazilian National Championship was in the City of Indaiatuba-SP Brazil on 25 and 26 of June.
This year the Brazilian the organizers decided to make the championship in a single stage being divided in 2 categories, F2 / Ligth for less experienced pilots and the F1 / Racer for pilots with more experience.
And for this reason I didn’t have time for errors and crashes . It was my first National race ever.
Saturday 25th we had 5 heats leaving Sunday for the semifinals and Finals. Saturday morning we had free practice and I notice my engine wasn’t so well, but after some adjustments we raced heat 1, and soon the engine broke. heat 2° and 3° time we made fine adjustments of carburetion and centax. In the 5th heat I guaranteed a place in top 4 .
Sunday
The final race was perfect for me I had assumed 1° place at the start and kept same until the end of the race, leading from start till the finish. 4 laps clear of the the 2nd placed driver. I made the Best lap of race 15,795.
