The FEMCA 2011 race is in the books, and this is one Billy Easton will remember for a very long time.
Easton with Cobra finished 2nd with Go with Cobra in 14th place in the final. Mc Bride from AU took the win. Congratues.
Due to many errors by the airlines and lost luggage, Easton only arrived to Malaysia after qualifying was over already. He decided to race anyway and thus started from the lowest 2048th final. He was able to win all finals up to the quarter final, and finished 2nd behind Mc Bride in the semi-final.
An incredible show of dedication and racing, only possible with a superb pit-crew at hand. The Serpent Cobra worked well and continued without any technical failure through all the finals.
Easton ran 10 sub-finals of 20 minutes, 1 semi of 30 minutes and 1 final of 60 minutes. An epic race of 290 race minutes in total.
He also recorded the fastest overall laptimes of 38.086 and fastest lap in the main final.
In the final Easton then finished in 2nd place as well, just 2 laps clear of the winner. Team mate Go from the Philipines did very well too, starting from 18th on the grid and made his way up to finish 14th in the main finall. Great race.
Report and set-up to follow.
