EFRA EC 1/10 Cassino: Mazzeo TQ with 747, Green 5th (15/08/2012)

Finals day at Casino did not really go our way. Speed of the Serpent 747 cars was super, but luck was not on our side.

In the semi while leading Jacobs's fueltankcap did not close properly so he lost fuel and had to come back in, losing valueble time.
For Musolini in the semi the race was over when his radio let him down.
Mark Green in his semi had a race incident with Groskamp in the first lap, the blow causing his transponder to quit.
Mazzeo had a good semi -final and bumped up to the main, as only Serpent 747 unfortunately, where we had counted with 3.

In the final Mazzeo had a race incident with Groskamp in the 1st lap, sliding Mazzeo sideways after which another car crashed into him and bend the pipe and tailpipe, causing an engine not working properly anymore.
Mazzeo raced as well as he could with this pipe and still managed a 4th place in then end. With his TQ pace he had a good chance for the championship.

The over 25 Serpent 747 drivers overall were very happy with car performance and speed, so its looking good to chase many national titles across Europe.

Set-ups will follow and more reports to come.

Mazzeo Tq-s the 2012 EC in Italy, with team-mate Mark Green in 5th both running the Serpent 747 which was launched this year.

Saturday we see the finals, and hope we can get even more 747 cars in the semi and main.

Serpent exclusive distributor for Italy, SprintRC, managed by Fabio Domanin is taking care of support at the race. Back up supply by Serpent Europe/Lechner jsut in case needed, just to make sure Serpent drivers find the best service of all !!

The EFRA 1/10 IC onroad champs started last monday with free practise on the beautifull track in Cassino, Italy.

The real racing got started with 2 qualifiers today thursday afternoon. Serpent ace Mazzeo with 747-Max combo from Italy shows great speed by setting the provisional pole with a very good 29 lapper ahead of fresh 1/10 TC World Champion Jilles Groskamp.

Also Green with 747-NR had 2 good 1st runs and is on a 5th place for now. Other Serpent drivers need more luck in the run or find few tenths, but we expect Musolino, Salven, Calce, Piromalli, Pupke, Jacobs, Gruber, Hard, Kerry, Alp, Lechner to make their way up.
