Korea: Ahn Hyun Ho wins 2012 nats with Serpent 747 (26/08/2012)

Ahn Hyun Ho came back to Serpent's arms with 747. And he took 2012 Korea national championship title in his first race with 747.
2012 Korea national GP touring championship was held in Hitec circuit on Aug 26. The weather is find but it was a boiling hot day for the race.
He had suffered a terrible qualifying and had to bump up to the main final. The qualifying was 4 times 10 minutes race. He missed the first qualifying because he was late for the race. And he had a big crash by receiver and servo trouble in the middle of second qualifying. So, he had to pass the third qualifying. After repairing the car, he could participate in the last qualifying and test the car.
He started from C main and his 747 returned to the fatest car in the race. 2 times bumping up carried him to the main final and he got 5th position in the final race.
After 3 laps in the final, he gained the lead and tried to keep it. The fuel consumption of his engine was bad condition comparing the competitors. So, he had to come to the pit area 2 or 3 times more than the competitors. He was still the lead after the last pit in and the time was 4 minutes and 30 seconds to go. It's a problem that the run time of his engine was just 4 minutes and 15 seconds and 2nd car chased down him 9 seconds behind. He decided to reduce the speed for saving fuel and kept going to the finish line.
Despite of his effort his engine flamed out 10 seconds to go and 2nd car took one more lap. But the winner car was disqualified for low height of body and Ahn Hyun Ho went to the podium as 1st. We'll look forward to hearing his good result in IFMAR.
And two more Serpent drivers Ryu Jae Ho and Bin Sang Youl took 7th and 9th also.
