Serpent celebrates 35th Anniversary (08/12/2015)

Serpent’s 35th Anniversary

We are celebrating the 35th Anniversary of Serpent as company, that was established in 1980, in Heemstede, the Netherlands ( Europe) . The same city also has the world famous onroad rc track, which hosted the 1989 IFMAR World Championships 1/8 GP onroad, and has served as Serpent testtrack since the very beginning. The Serpent brand exists since 1977. The succes story of Serpent began with 1/8 scale onroad gas powered cars.

Serpent started with development and production of 1/8 scale gp onroad cars and over the years developed many new cars, by now basically present in almost all onroad and offroad classes with over 30 different cars and more coming. Serpent has also developed new classes like the 1/10 scale 235mm class and later the 200mm GP class, in both of which Serpent won IFMAR World Titles. Innovations have always been a very strong point of Serpent and we continiously trying to make our cars different and better to stand out and offer the true Serpent Racing Experience.

Serpent is proud having won many World, European, American and Asian titles, as well as numerous national ones, with very dedicated drivers ! 2016 will see another 4 World Championships in which Serpent drivers will compete.

Later this month Serpent will introduce the Serpent Viper 977 35th Anniversary Limited Edition, as part of the celebrations. Only 350 special units will be made, and 001 number will be aunctioned on Ebay for Charity, for organisation “Right-to-Play” . The 001 kit will also have an exclusive 35th Anniversary tool-set, laser-engraved with 35th Anniversary logo. More details on this Limited Edition and Aunction to follow .
