ISTC WC China: Viktor Wilck takes podium finish with Project 4X (26/08/2016)

Wilck takes podium for Serpent at ISTC WC China

Viktor finished a well deserved 3rd overall at the 2016 IFMAR ISTC WC in China with the brandnew Serpent Project 4X designed by David Ehrbar !!

Viktor congratulations !!! Well done !

Finals
Wilck kept his act together and profitted maximum from the hectic start of the final A3 and finished in 2nd position behind overall winner Volker.
The 1st final was a 7 and the 2nd final a very good 5th, so with the 2nd place finish in A3, the 3rd place overall was in the books. Super result with the brandnew car.

This superb podium-finish caps off a great Worlds overall with the 4X car for Wilck. Practise was already going well, and when Viktor took top-seed after practise it was clear Team Serpent was onto something special.

Congratulations also to David Ehrbar for his truly amazing Project 4X design and the efforts he has put into this project over the last 2 years. It takes courage and determination to design and proceed with such an innovative project, which for sure was not an easy journey, but all worth it. It feels great that a topdriver like Wilck can show the potential of the Project 4X car and to cap if off with a podium finish is simply well deserved.
The Project 4X car will start shipping in mid september !

Serpent China headed by John Ho has done a superjob to facilitate the testing before in Xiamen and do all the support at the Worlds. For the the large group of Project 4X drivers it was a superb experience too. The factory-staff did their utmost to have enough cars and parts ready for the Xiamen test and WC itself and it all worked out well. Great job.

Thanks to the organisers, IFMAR and the rc press for giving us such a great event and coverage. This is for sure excellent promotion for the rc car hobby and market, in China itself and across the world. We hope for a similar or even better 2017 WC 1/10 buggy in Xiamen next year.

The next IFMAR Worlds in 2016 is the ⅛ buggy one in Las Vegas USA. Team Serpent will be there too !
